As any great journey, this one began before a
single step was taken.
In
1999, after spending a month visiting the
majestic state of Alaska, Toby Stevens found
himself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
drawn to The Last Frontier.
Believing that the core of Christianity is
founded upon people's love for God and their
love for others, Toby and Ellen dreamed of
establishing a place where people could come
together in their worship of God and their
need for relationships. |

In June, Toby and Ellen
landed in Anchorage excited,
terrified, and elated. Joined by Nate
and Beckie Nicholls in July, they
immediately began sharing their hope and
passion with all they met. The dream
that began so long ago was becoming reality.
As a new church, The Journey began meeting in
Toby and Ellen's home.
Soon, we moved to the Russian Jack Ski
Chalet, and six months later the group
relocated to the Marston Theatre in the
Loussac Library.
If
you're looking for a place to
crack open the scriptures, ask challenging questions, or
draw closer to God - we'd love for you to stop
by. Join us on The
Journey.
